How to exercise your Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition rights
Under Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), every individual whose personal data is processed has the right to exercise four fundamental data subject rights, known collectively as ARCO:
Know what personal data we hold about you, how it was obtained, for what purposes it is used, and to whom it has been shared.
Request that inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated personal data be corrected or updated.
Request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or when consent is withdrawn.
Object to the processing of your personal data for specific purposes, including commercial communications or secondary uses.
These rights are personal and non-transferable. They may only be exercised by the data subject or their duly authorized legal representative.
You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. In response, we will provide:
We will deliver the information in a clear and legible format by email within the legally required timeframe.
If your personal data is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, you may request that we correct or update it. Please include with your request:
We will notify you of any changes made or explain why a correction cannot be made.
Quick option: Institutional administrators may update their own profile data directly in the Attendae dashboard at attendae.app without submitting a formal request.
You may request deletion of your personal data. The right to cancellation is subject to certain limitations under the LFPDPPP:
When cancellation is not immediately possible, we will place the data in a blocking period (período de bloqueo) during which it is not actively used, until it can be deleted. We will inform you of the applicable retention period.
You may object to the processing of your personal data for specific purposes. Common grounds for opposition include:
Opposition to processing that is strictly necessary to provide the contracted service may result in service termination.
Send your ARCO request to our privacy office:
Privacy email: privacidad@attendae.com
Subject line: ARCO Request — [your name]
Your request must include:
Your identity: Full name and a copy of a valid official ID (INE/IFE, passport, or equivalent). For legal representatives, also include the authorization document.
Description of the right: Clearly indicate which right(s) you wish to exercise (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, or Opposition).
Details of your request: Describe in clear terms which personal data your request concerns and the reason, especially for Rectification and Opposition requests.
Supporting documents: Attach any documents that help substantiate your request (e.g., proof of updated address, court order).
Preferred delivery format: Indicate how you would like to receive the response (email, hard copy, etc.) if applicable.
Requests submitted without sufficient information to verify your identity may not be processed. We will inform you within 5 business days if additional information is required.

|---|---|---|---|
| Access | 5 business days | 20 business days | +20 business days |
| Rectification | 5 business days | 20 business days | +20 business days |
| Cancellation | 5 business days | 20 business days | +20 business days |
| Opposition | 5 business days | 20 business days | +20 business days |

If you are a participant in an event organized by an institution that uses Attendae (not an institutional administrator), please note the following:
Attendae will cooperate with institutions to fulfill participant ARCO requests and will assist institutions in responding within the required timeframes under the Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
If you are unsure whether to contact the institution or Attendae, write to privacidad@attendae.com and we will route your request appropriately.
If you believe your ARCO request was improperly denied, partially fulfilled, or not responded to within the legal timeframes, you have the right to file a complaint with:
(Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales)
Mexico's independent data protection authority, responsible for supervising compliance with the LFPDPPP.
Website: home.inai.org.mx
INAI provides an online complaint portal (SIPOT) where you can file a Protection of Rights Procedure (Procedimiento de Protección de Derechos) free of charge.
Filing a complaint with INAI does not require prior exhaustion of a formal complaint with Attendae, though we encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concern directly.
